The press service of Uzbekistan railways – “Uzbekiston Temir Yullari”, announced the opening of the new Namangan railway station.
The previously existing station was dismantled in 2016, as it did not meet certain international standards.
The new three-store building, decorated in a classic style, meets all the requirements.
There is a VIP-hall inside along with a waiting area, storage room, shops, cafes, as well as a "Mother-and-Child" room and an ambulance station.
The planned number of passengers per day exceeds 500 people.
Near the station, a navigation system will be installed for easy orientation of tourists and electric scoreboard indicating the time of arrival and departure. It is also planned to deploy a Wi-Fi zone at the station.

At the moment, active construction work is underway.
In addition to the station, the adjacent “Locomotive” hotel will undergo the reconstruction. The hotel has 5 floors, the first and the second one will be given to the administration and staff.
The natural landscape will be arranged. To create a new design the local authorities will invite professional artists.
