The international festival of Bakhshi art is planned to be held in Termez for the first time from 5 to 10 April, on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Bakhshi - musical and folklore art, has long been passed down from generation to generation.
The festival is planned to be held in early April, every two years. It will acquaint the public with the Uzbek art, increase the interest of youth to the national art, as well as strengthen the friendly relations of nations, will expand the range of creative communication and gain new cultural international cooperation.

By the time of the opening of the Bakshi festival, in Termez will be prepared several places for leisure and the city will be landscaped. The main part of the event will be held at "Surkhandaryo Sanat Saroyi" (Palace of arts Surkhandarya) and some adjacent territory.
