For German citizens visiting Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, the Visa-Free regime for a period of 30 days will be introduced from January 15, 2019.
Previously, the introduction of Visa-Free regime for Germany was planned for 2021, January 1 (President decree from 02.12.2016), but given the interest of tourists from Germany, as well as their dynamic growth of visits to our country, the decree was changed.
According to statistics for 2016, the number of travelers from Germany amounted to 4,889 people, in 2017 – 7,207 people and in 2018 their number was increased up to 18,094.
It should also be noted that Germany took the 10th place among the countries on the use of E-VISA system in Uzbekistan.
Between July 15 and December 28 (2018), e-visa was issued by 1,089 German citizens.

We want to remind that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, plans a visit to Germany in January 2019.
The introduction of a visa-free regime for German citizens will strengthen the cultural, scientific and educational exchange between the countries, as well as contribute to the improvement of investment deposits and increase the flow of tourists to the country.
