The government of Uzbekistan plans to introduce additions to the visa-free regime for some countries, in particular for European ones.
The information was received during the discussion between Aziz Abdukhakimov (Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan) and Ronald Schultz (Director of “Lufthansa” airline affiliate in the CIS).
This year, Uzbekistan has already introduced the visa-free regime for citizens of France and Tajikistan.
Since February 10, tourist visas have been simplified, the need to provide a voucher has been canceled, as well as the visa processing time has been shortened down to 2 working days (excluding the day of receipt of documents).
On July 15, the E-Visa system was launched and over 9.000 tourists from 45 countries received it in 50 days.
