The town of Rishtan is located in the Fergana Valley between the cities of Kokand and Fergana. There are no ancient monuments of art, there are no fortresses. This small town is famous for its potters.

Margilan is also one of the cities on the Great Silk Road. It is located in the Ferghana Valley, where earthquakes are quite common. For this reason, not many monuments of antiquity have been preserved in their original form.
Summer residence of the Timurids
An ancient city Shakhrisabz built almost three thousand years ago! This city is famous for the fact that Tamerlane was born here. The historical center of the city is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage and carefully guarded, in order to preserve its unchanged. The most significant construction of the city is Aksaray, which is the ruins of the one beautiful palace of Amir Timur.

Margilan is a city in the Fergana Valley which is located not far from the Ferghana itself, one of the oldest cities.
The second largest city in the Namangan region is Chust. This city is more than 3,500 years old, judging by archaeological evidence. The population, for the most part and at that time, was represented by Persians and people of the same mindset. And since those times Chust is the center of metal processing and making knives and piercing-cutting weapons, now used for the purposes of paraphernalia or decoration. There is a Suzangar quarter in Chust, where metal smiths are forged in the smithy and master knives are made.

Founded by General Skobelev in 1876 the city of Fergana is one of the youngest cities in the country. Fergana city, which is geographically situated in the former Khanate of Kokand, in Persian means "rich" and the city’s name fully corresponds to its meaning.

Fergana is the administrative center of Fergana region, which includes 15 districts. The largest of them are Kokand, Margilan, Kuva, and Rishtan.

Remarkable sights of Fergana are primarily buildings-monuments that were built in the beginning of the city flourishing. And even now many of these building-monuments carry out their purpose. Observing the architectural style of the period, the time when the building was founded can be divined. For instance, pre-revolutionary period or the time of city flourishing during the Soviet era and the days of independence which include sufficient efforts on the construction and reconstruction of the city.

Furthermore, one of the most ancient findings in Fergana, Buddhist complex, is located in Kuva and confirms prevalence of Buddhism religion in the territory of the Khanate of Kokand. All these sights and districts in Fergana you can visit for a very short period of time since the distance between the city and the suburbs is not so significant. And the best time to visit Fergana is summer when the city is especially beautiful.
